The applicant would benefit from being able to file multiple classes, and this would come from the reduction in the amount of application fees paid out.

An opposing company may be able to defend their current standing even if an item has been applied for in a dissimilar category due to a conflict of interest.

All third parties are prohibited from using any logo or image without authorization from the rightful owner. Monetary penalties will rise into the thousands and prison is possible for anyone duplicating illegally business marks.
