Familiar Drug Testing Brisbane, QLD

By Francis Riggs

It is complicated to begin checkups for illicit elements in the body fluids because if involves taking several biological elements. These elements include urine, air, blood, breath droplets and other relevant body fluids which could be containing the illegal products. You will find people in recruitment, existing employees and athletes undergoing these tests before staring or continuing with the activities. Some of known illegal substances include marijuana, heroin and the familiar drug testing Brisbane done by police to arrest those who drink and drive.

It is a topic hotly debated especially with the recent talks to make the test mandatory in high schools for those students wishing to take part in extracurricular activities. The right to individual privacy is the main issue raised by the opposer but still it is a challenge to critically analyze why the drugs are first of all found in the schools.

When teenagers know that at some point they are going to be tested, they stop taking the illegal substances. Those who have never taken them will stop thinking of experimenting. Those struggling with addiction will stop it because they fear the law. It provides kids with easier recovery from such bad habits.

The people involved are not interested in invading the privacy here. They only want to stop drug abuse among the younger generation. If such a step is not taken, there will be arise in violence because they will not finish school. The living standards will be poor too.

A good question which everyone should ask themselves is whether it is such a burden or unreasonable asking the teens to surrender some privacy for greater assurances to their safety. The risks of any substance usage are profound and life threatening and it should not be hard to make the right choice on such matters.

The tests are not to be taken as the answer though. It is there as a method to help parents and guardians to intervene in behaviors which ultimately result to adverse effects to the physical and emotional domain of the teen and also his or her spiritual development.

Identifying that there are many children with this behavior in a school is a step. It should be followed by strategies to intervene and treat. When treatment comes early, it is more effective in changing behaviors and also in improving development process. Long term recovery occurs later.

Every organization can therefore benefit from a commonly agreed policy regarding the use of drugs and alcohol applying to each and everyone in the organization. It should be a part of the management system of safety and health issues relating to the organization. The organizations are encouraged to involve the workers in drafting of such to increase compliance as they will have a sense of ownership. It should take into account education, counseling and prevention information and also rehabilitation guidelines.
