By Richard Rogers

Learning and acquiring new skills is a process that never stops. To develop competent abilities at the workplace, for instance, being able to solve work-related problem require that you go through training. Learning from best tutors is one of the sure ways of acquiring these essential skills. It is however not easy to identify the best among many coaches. Therefore, it becomes crucial for you to keep in mind the following indicators of an excellent scrum instructor.

See if your potential mentor has proper research skills. These are essential skills that are used in extracting learning information. Therefore, it is crucial that your prospective teacher is in a position of acquiring relevant information that is also current and matches your career life. Failure to do this, one might feed you with irrelevant details which might not enable you to develop the required abilities.

Confirm the communication skills of your lecturer. Better communication abilities are what determines if the teacher is going to facilitate active learning or not. Here, communication is not only limited to the ability to express one's ideas but also the incorporation of other devices that will ease the learning process. For example, uses of projectors to enable students to have a clear understanding of the subject is highly recommended.

Also, through communication, the instructor can relate well to his students. A good relation is known to create a conducive learning atmosphere. It is this atmosphere that will encourage learners to participate actively in the learning process. The overall results will be gaining knowledge and skills within a short time as possible.

See whether the mentor is flexible or not. Mentors that are flexible in arranging for learning activities are favorable because they come up with schedules that accommodate any future changes. Such flexibility is desired because it provides room for adjustments where necessary. For example, the class timetable should not be tight to the point of inconveniencing you.

It is recommendable, for example, that you and your tutor meet and agree on a suitable time to allocate for classes. An agreed time should be that which is convenient for both of you. You can select the time of the day when you are free from daily activities such in the evenings. Weekends and holidays can also serve you better if you are not occupied.

Choose an experienced fellow. People who have been working in the teaching field for a long time are resourceful because they understand real working environments. They are generally equipped with competent skills which cannot be outweighed by others. It is, however, wrong to underestimate the efforts of younger tutors because giving them a trial might surprise with the quality of knowledge they harbor. Therefore, it is good to consider both experienced and knowledgeable instructors for excellent results.

Give priority to a licensed trainer. Licensing signifies that the person in possession is registered by the state and is allowed to offer his or her services to the public. Registered mentors are less likely to engage in unlawful activities; this makes them more favorable. Attempting to invest your resources in an unregistered organization is risky because you stand a chance of getting conned.
