Simple Etiquette When Watching Free Movies

By Dominique Martin

There are lots of fun things to do nowadays. You can go to amusement parks or you can pig out at eat-all-you-can restaurants. However, the fun activity that most people will usually die for is going to free movies. Not only do they get to watch their favorite shows, they can do it without having to pay a fee.

While it is so much fun for you, it may not be so for other people. Instead of having fun, they get so angry about those individuals who do not know any etiquette when going to theater. Everyone needs to learn some manners then before going there. Here are those etiquette that you should hammer to your body to avoid annoying other people.

First, you have to keep your cellphone in silent mode. In fact, it is better if you just turn it off for the entire show time if the film or leave it at the comfort of your own home. If you do that, then you do not have to annoy your seatmates when you have to take a call in the middle of a very moving climax scene.

Watch where you rest your feet. It is actually acceptable for you to rest your knees or feet on the armrest or chair right in front of you. No matter how much the ushers do not like it, you have to keep yourself feeling comfortable the entire time. However, make sure that the seat is empty first before doing anything.

No taking pictures. It is an illegal act and you may get fined for it. There is actually nothing more annoying for the people in the dark room off of the theater than a phone or a camera flashing intermittently. Not only can that be distracting, you will also be annoying them.

When you want to talk, you better do it in a whisper. Do not be too loud in a theater. Just like in a library, silence is highly appreciated. Otherwise, it will be awful for the others in the theater when you shout out loud or when you keep on talking to the person you came with in a very audible voice.

Of course, do not make out. Teenagers are usually the ones who make out in a theater but it is actually not recommended to do so. In fact, it is highly forbidden. Do not ever make out when there are kids around, when there are lots of people, or even when the theater is a bit deserted.

Pee breaks are fine as long as you minimize the instances where you have to go to the bathroom. In fact, it is highly recommended for you to go on a pee break only once for the entire duration of the film. If you are the type to get the call of nature every now and then, then make sure to go to the bathroom before the start of the film showing.

Snacking is okay just as long as you do it nicely. There is no need for you to chew on your crunchy food so noisily. You should also refrain from making the cellophane of the food you are trying to open make noisy sounds. You have to eat noiselessly and neatly.
