When it comes to being this kind of professional, there are several things which you need to be familiar with. You ought to provide them all the hours they need to inspect the tools which they shall be using on their first day. You have to personally orient them so that they would be excited with the circle time. Give them more practice time especially when they shall want to do it on their own. Your presence may be needed but they need to build their own level of independence in here. Besides, you would have classes which does not have a strict structure. Thus, learn to relax while they are in their zone from this point onwards.

Make them listen to your voice all the time. Also, try to promote complete silence when one student is speaking. Respect has to be practiced in different forms and do not be too lenient with this virtue. A child may lack one vital organ but that does not mean that he or she cannot have all the good values in the world.

Before a question can be asked, a student would have to raise his or her hand. This can facilitate order and all the rules which you want to implement inside the room. This is still a learning center after all and everyone needs to stay on top of their game if they want to act and feel normal in this competitive world.

If their vision is not totally damaged, then small gestures such as placing them on the front row can be truly appreciated. What is essential is that you become more selfless in this job. This not about making money and supporting yourself. When you take on this role, then you have to leave yourself to become the teachers to others.

Always call them on a first name basis. This would catch their attention and make them feel valued when you give positive reinforcement. As you can see, the tiniest details go a long way.

Lastly, never give up on them. You have taken one of the most difficult jobs in the world. So, it would only be right for you to walk an extra mile for these people. They are counting on you.
