Progressive Insurance Shoots To Number One In Mobile Advertising

Mobile advertising is the way of the future and most of the big firms around the world realize this. They are putting in a lot of money into these mobile advertising companies and the results are there for everyone to see. These are some of the biggest players in the game and they realize the worth of having targeted ads delivered to people's phones within seconds on a regular basis. It just does not get easier than this. Progressive Insurance has made sure they are the top of the heap when it comes to advertising this way.



In terms of advertising creatives, the mobile platform is still lagging behind PC-based internet. Most advertisements that have been released thus far are what you would call not fit for human consumption. There is hope, however, as more web developers are diving head first into the mobile platform, stretching their creativity as they go. We should be able to see a great improvement in mobile ads within the 12 to 24 months.

Some of the other big names that have gone down this route include the likes of Microsoft, Verizon and Amazon. These are just some of the most important names and there are many more that are going down this route. It is a goldmine for businesses because there are less people ignoring these ads and that is wonderful for businesses.

Most mobile ads are still lack the sophistication that PC-based Internet ads are known for. The ads are still not attractive enough for human users. But things are getting better, however, as there are sectors that moving for the standardization of mobile ad units. Although it might kill some creativity, at least it will lessen the mess of mobile ads.

The breaking news from Adomic (a mobile analytics company) released as the mobile advertising report for the 2nd quarter, shows that the top mobile advertiser in the US was Progressive insurance. The report goes in to a lot of detail on various data and usage breakdowns that are part of the industry, as well as listing the top mobile advertisers.

It covers the most frequently used ad formats, as well as a comparison of online media buying online versus mobile advertising. Of interest to consumers is that Microsoft was rated at number three in the report, while Amazon was listed as number nine. This may come as a shock to many people, based on the advertising that was spent, and the how these companies are regarded in general.
